About this coffee
Crestones is a Catuai lot from Tarrazú, Costa Rica, Black Honey processed. Rated 87 points, it has a clear profile of raspberry and florals, rounded out by notes of chocolate.
The coffee is grown at 1,800 m on Los Crestones farm, owned by Tarcero Umaña. Esteban Zamora, together with his brother Felipe, manages production and processes the cherries at the La Cruz de Tarrazú micro-mill.
For the Black Honey process, the cherries are sorted, pulped while keeping the mucilage, and sun-dried on raised beds for about 12–15 days. This approach supports the lot’s sweetness and juicy texture.
The lot reaches OVRIDE through CoffeeNativ, the green coffee importer we work with. We roast it to preserve its sweet, floral, and expressive profile.
