About this range
Specialty coffee beans, roasted in small batches at our roastery near Timișoara. We choose coffees by their cup profile and roast weekly, so they reach you fresh and, when possible, rested — ready for espresso or filter.
The range is divided into five lines: CORE for everyday coffee, Discovery for more expressive single-origin lots, Experimental for unusual fermentations and processes, Reserve for rare lots, and Blends for consistent espresso and milk drinks. Each bag includes tasting notes and a brewing recommendation.
Frequently asked questions
What does specialty coffee mean?
It is coffee valued for distinctive qualities in the cup: a traceable origin, few defects and a clear flavour profile. A long-standing industry reference is a sensory score of at least 80 out of 100, although the Specialty Coffee Association’s current definition goes beyond a score. Whole bean or ground?
We recommend whole beans and a good grinder — coffee keeps its aromas far longer that way. You choose the grind for your method (espresso, filter, moka) right on the product page.
How fresh does the coffee arrive?
We roast weekly, on Wednesdays. Coffee needs a few days to rest after roasting so it can degas — our guide on resting coffee explains why.
Do you deliver across Romania?
Yes — we deliver by courier throughout Romania. If you choose pickup from the OVRIDE Cafe in Timișoara, visit only after the email confirming that the products are ready for pickup at the cafe.
