About this coffee
Some coffees end up seasonal by accident.
Others seem made for a specific moment.
Navidad comes from Finca Milan, in Pereira, Risaralda, where the producer Julio Madrid uses fermentation as a tool for finesse and expression, not to mask the coffee. It’s a Caturra, processed honey and co-fermented with cardamom, cinnamon, and orange, to enhance the sweetness, texture, and aromatic depth.
Fermentation is a living process, and this lot evolved in its own direction, with a clear, distinct profile.
In the cup, Navidad is warm and comforting. Cardamom is the leading note, complemented by cinnamon, delicate citrus and a soft, sugary sweetness, with a round texture reminiscent of pastry. It’s a festive coffee, yet balanced — aromatic without being overwhelming.
Co-fermented coffees are about nuance and personality. Here, the spices don’t dominate the coffee — they frame it, adding warmth and complexity while preserving the coffee’s identity and the character of the variety Caturra.
Harvested in October 2025, the coffee reached us extremely fresh, vacuum-sealed at origin, a key detail for the clarity and freshness of the flavors.
We selected this lot through CoffeeVibe, and the collaboration with Octavia was careful and natural, built on trust and rigorous selection — exactly the kind of partnership that lets the coffee express itself clearly.
A winter coffee.
Aromatic, comforting, and best enjoyed unhurried.
